Use and abuse Malty’s channel in Teams, ask for feedback in Design reviews, or Design stand-up sessions, leave comments in Figma (press C), participate, and engage.
Collaborative design (also known as participatory design) is a design activity that gathers multiple perspectives to solve a problem.
For Malty, this means that all the design elements in our design system are open to discussion, critiques, and updates from all the team members (this is not exclusively for the design team).
However, this collaboration needs some rules and order, so that we ensure everyone's on track with the changes. Else, if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
On the design side, if (a) you've found a bug in a component, (b) an existing component doesn't fit your needs, (c) you need to have a new component added, or (d) the documentation needs to be updated, you always need to get in touch with Malty's team.
You're, however, free to suggest that change or addition in a new branch in Figma - and we encourage you to do so.
So, how does the collaboration flow work for the design team?
This flow tackles the design perspective of the collaboration process.
