In collaborative design, it's critical to use Figma branches. This allows us to make changes to the components and libraries without affecting the other teams' work while a component is still being refined or reviewed.
Besides, working in branches is the safest way of altering whatever without risking losing the original components or causing any issue in Malty's libraries.
Creating branches in Figma
- Start by creating a branch
In the library file in Figma (e.g. Icons), start by creating a branch
Do all of the changes you must in this new branch.
- Ask for a review
In the branch file, after you've done your changes, ask for a Review.
- Add reviewers
Add Malty's designers as reviewers, @Rui Soares or @Mariana Rita, and request a review.
- Request review
This will notify the reviewer(s), and your branch goes to the “In review” state.
